USACE, Iowa City Bird Club, and Iowa Audubon will be hosting the
6th Annual Eagle Watch and Expo, 20 January 2018. This event is
free to the public. The outdoor watch site is at Coralville Lake below
the dam in Tailwater West. Hot cocoa will be provided. We will have
guest speakers at Liberty High School, crafts, games, exhibitors and
vendors. Come out and enjoy our winged friends this winter!

BIG FOOT sighting at Bennett Pond!  Come try our “big feet,” also
known as snowshoes, as we tromp around Bennett Park on
Sunday, January 21 at 1:00 pm.  We will be doing an ice fishing
program that day as well.  Two awesome activities at the same time
and place!  Participants are welcome to try BOTH activities.  This is
a free program open to all ages.  Preregistration is required.  Please

The Winter Olympics has inspired us to challenge all ages of
people in Durant and test their skills at various tasks.  Can
you make a pyramid with 36 cups and then take them all
down and have them in a single stack in less than a minute?  
We shall try various challenges for this event, and I think there
will even be some small prizes for winners......     : D

How do animals hold competitions.  Well everyday they
compete for different things, food, water, shelter space,
mates, LOTS of different things!  We shall see what animal
comes out on top in this fun program filled with games.  This
program is geared toward children.
