Junior Naturalist
If you are between the ages of 6 and 12 years
old, you can participate in the Iowa Junior
Naturalist Program.  It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Become an Iowa Junior Naturalist!
1.  Attend three public programs offered throughout
the year by the Cedar County Conservation Board.
These programs include things such as wildflower
hikes, our fishing clinic, hunters safety program,
summer camps and more!

2.  Complete two independent
(on your own) activities
such as reading a nature book, fishing with your
friends, hiking or camping with your family or riding
your bike along a nature trail.

3.  Fill in a Junior Naturalist flier
(available at the
Conservation Board Office)
with the activities you did and
return it to the CCCB Naturalist.

When you turn in your completed flier you will receive
a certificate of achievement and a cool embroidered
Junior Naturalist patch!  The patches change every
year, so you can participate each year and try to
collect them all.
You must complete all the requirements between
January 1st to December 31st of one calender year.
For more information and to receive your Iowa
Junior Naturalist requirement flier please contact
us by
e-mail, at 563-886-6930, stop by the office
at 713 E South St., Tipton, or attend one of our
many
programs.

Participants must have parents permission.
